Personal Information
A veteran outrider who just completed his tenth season in the saddle, 2017 was another very good season for Quaid. He won three show championship at the Ashley Richards Memorial Presented By Dakota Dunes Casino in Saskatoon outriding for Gary Gorst, as well as outriding for his father Luke Tournier’s outfit that won the Medicine Hat Stampede, and capped off the year with another victory at the Battle of the Rockies behind Dustin Gorst. Quaid is a two-time winner of the Rod Glass Memorial Award for Most Improved Outrider, and has won ten show championships over his ten-year career, with the biggest win of his career to date was at the Ponoka Stampede Championship outriding for Roger Moore in 2013. Quaid grew up around chuckwagon racing as a barn hand for his father and received the “Hardest Working Kid” award from the CPCA when his father competed there. Quaid enjoys hockey and hunting in the off season, is single and makes his home in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan.
