Personal Information

Léo Tournier has been one of the most competitive drivers on the WPCA Dodge Pro Tour the past 3 seasons. 2009 saw Léo post 14 top ten runs including 6 first place runs, and 2 runs that placed in the top five. He set a new track record at the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship, qualified for the sudden death championship final heat at the Ponoka Stampede, and for the 3rd consecutive year he had a horse named to the WPCA's Equine Outfit of Excellence in 2009. Léo won his first major chuckwagon event at Edmonton’s Chuckwagon Derby in 2007 and received the WPCA’s Most Improved Chuckwagon Outfit Award that same year. Léo spent the first several years of his career on the CPCA circuit where he won two CPCA show championships at the Melfort and Dewberry Chuckwagon Championships, and was a finalist for the sudden death CPCA Championship Dash in 1997. He participated in EnCana’s WPCA/4-H Mentorship Program in 2009. Léo works as a professional truck driver in the off season, and along with his wife Kim and daughter Shailin, make their home in Duck Lake, Saskatchewan.
