Bensmiller Heads to the Olympics to Represent Chuckwagon Racing
Kurt Bensmiller will be one of two cowboys heading out to the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games in order to showcase and highlight our unique sport and Western culture.
He joins the Calgary Stampede family including Stampede Royalty, Harry the Horse, and second cowboy Ty Elliott in order to participate on two exciting activities: the Alberta Train and Alberta Day, on Feb 17. The train, carries media and VIPs between Vancouver and Whistler, and provides an unprecedented opportunity to market the Calgary Stampede and the sport of Chuckwagon racing to a ‘captive’ audience.
Hala Dehais from the Calgary Stampede will be blogging about the activities and experience on a regular basis. To learn more about Kurt’s Olympic journey read Dehais' bog here.
