Dear Devoted Chuckwagon Fans:

Thank you for tuning in and keeping the WPCA informed on your thoughts and emails. As you have noticed the WPCA is indeed trying some different approaches to both its website and its radio broadcast.

The decision to video stream one or two nights of chuckwagon races on our website compared to all the heats from every night of races was based around the website statistics that the WPCA receives each month showing who is watching what. The Halfmileofhell.com website also relies heavily on advertising revenue which in turn allows us to have more content on the website. If your company or someone you know if is interested, you can obtain advertising rates by contacting Carmen Stone, Marketing Manager, here.

As for the new radio broadcast – the WPCA is very happy to have Classic Country AM 1060 as its official broadcaster. One of the main selling features of the new broadcaster is the fact that it brings Chuckwagons to race fans 12 months out of the year. The WPCA sees this as a step forward. As well, if you do tune in online or on one of the “network” stations (CJDC – Country 890 AM; CFNA - The Wolf 99.7 FM or Classic Country AM 1060) you may notice the large amount of promotional announcements and coverage Chuckwagon racing is receiving.

The WPCA does realize that the range of its broadcast coverage has decreased and we certainly apologize to our devoted fans that cannot access the website or a station in order to listen to the races. Classic Country AM 1060 has expressed that it is willing to partner with more radio stations in order to increase its range. As a dedicated listener, we suggest that you lobby your local radio station to broadcast the races on their station. You can do this by contacting the stations General Manager and have them get in touch with Dustin Collins at Classic Country AM 1060.

Please bare with us while we adjust to the new changes to the website and the radio broadcaster. We look forward to having you as a “tuned in” race fan for many years to come.

Yours truly,

World Professional Chuckwagon Association
