Personal Information
Reo King is one of the top outriders in professional chuckwagon racing today. 2009 was a very successful season for Reo as he won the North American Chuckwagon Championship with Jerry Bremner, the Calgary Stampede Aggregate title with Kelly Sutherland, the Bonnyville Chuckwagon Championship with Brian Mayan, The Battle of the North with Hugh Sinclair and Edmonton’s Chuckwagon Derby with Chad Harden. He was the top pointed outrider at 3 WPCA Dodge Pro Tour shows. Reo was the WPCA’s Top Rookie Outrider in 1998, is a 2-time winner of the WPCA’s Rod Glass Memorial Award, outrode for 2 Calgary Stampede Rangeland Derby Championship outfits and 4 Calgary Stampede Aggregate winning outfits. A two sport athlete, Reo played in the Alberta Junior Hockey League with the Calgary Junior “A” Royals, the Calgary Canucks and the Grande Prairie Storm. Reo is a second generation wagon man whose father Joe King was a top competitor throughout the 1970’s and 80’s. When he is not racing chuckwagons, Reo is a equine therapist and has worked on horses in prominent places such as Santa Anita Racetrack, Spruce Meadows, the U.S Open Polo Championship in Florida, the Queen’s Polo Cup in England, and the Kentucky Derby. Reo enjoys hockey, horses, riding sno-mobiles, water sports and hunting.
