 The new competition format being proposed for the 2009 GMC Rangeland Derby will feature a new method for drivers to qualify for the $150,000 Championship Final Heat 

A new Top 8 "Semi-Final Saturday"
will now declare the 4 finalists in the
$150,000 Sudden Death Championship Final Heat

A new invitation system will see 18 WPCA wagons guaranteed a spot in the 2009 Rangeland Derby, with a chance to earn an additional 8 spots via the 2008 Rangeland Derby. Calgary Stampede will continue to hold 2 spots at their discretion

The Upper Deck Company, known worldwide for producing quality made trading cards for Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, the National Basketball Association among others, has now produced the first ever Upper Deck trading card for the World Professional Chuckwagon Association.

The original chuckwagon set, which includes 208 cards, features all of the biggest names in professional chuckwagon racing today - drivers, outriders, past legends of the sport, as well as some notable dignitaries.
